We stumbled upon Common Sage last weekend and were thrilled to find a new Japanese market in our neighborhood! Common Sage’s chef, Koji Nagao, is originally from Osaka, Japan. Koji is a chef and artist. He studied culinary arts in Europe and completed a BFA from the San Francisco Academy of Art University in 2011.
The Uniqlo flagship store is located in Tokyo’s luxury shopping district, Ginza. It’s an 11-story building. The floors are filled with stylish, basic men’s and women’s wear. Here you’ll find jeans, flannels, stripped tops, dresses, and underwear (I’m a fan of their AIRism bra camis. They’re much more comfortable than regular bras!).

Tokyo Midtown is one of my favorite shopping areas in Tokyo. Located in Roppongi, Midtown is a posh shopping complex with large outdoor patios, a grassy lawn perfect for picnics, a nearby sculpture garden, and Issey Miyake’s angular concrete modern art museum, 21_21 Design Sight.
